Our Scoring Methodology

We believe in fair, transparent, and skill-based evaluation. Our AI-powered scoring system is designed to provide an objective measure of a candidate's abilities, focusing on what truly matters.

The Skill Score (0-1000)

The Skill Score is the primary measure of a candidate's expertise and problem-solving ability based on their performance in a tailored assessment. A higher score indicates a stronger command of the required skills.

How It's Calculated:

  • Correctness & Relevance: The AI evaluates the accuracy, relevance, and depth of the answers provided for each question.
  • Question Difficulty: Correct answers to harder questions are weighted more heavily than answers to easier ones.
  • Completeness: Skipped questions or incomplete answers will negatively impact the score.

Score Ranges:

Expert

900-1000

Advanced

800-899

Proficient

700-799

Foundational

< 700

The Authenticity Score (0-100%)

The Authenticity Score measures the integrity of the assessment session. A high score gives employers confidence that the work is genuinely the candidate's own. The score starts at 100 and points are deducted for integrity flags.

What Reduces the Score:

  • Pasting Content: Pasting answers from external sources is flagged and reduces the score.
  • Copying Questions: Copying question text to search for answers elsewhere is also flagged.
  • Permissions Denied: For Proctored Assessments, denying camera or screen-sharing permissions significantly lowers the score, as proctoring cannot be performed.

Using Hints is Encouraged!

Using an AI-powered hint is logged for context but does not negatively impact the Authenticity Score. We believe in providing tools to help you succeed.

Professional Archetypes

Based on your resume and assessment performance, our AI maps you to one of four professional archetypes. This helps employers quickly understand your primary strengths and working style. Archetypes are determined by plotting two key axes:

Strategic Thinking (Y-Axis)

This axis measures your ability to see the big picture, innovate, plan, and lead. High scorers often excel at product vision, long-term planning, and market analysis.

Technical Execution (X-Axis)

This axis measures your ability to build, implement, and deliver tangible results. High scorers are hands-on, detail-oriented, and skilled at turning ideas into reality.

The Four Archetypes:

Leader
High Strategy, High Execution

Equally strong at setting the vision and building the solution. They can lead teams and code with the best of them.

Visionary
High Strategy, Lower Execution

A big-picture thinker who excels at strategy and product direction, but may be less involved in the day-to-day implementation.

Implementer
Lower Strategy, High Execution

A master of their craft who excels at hands-on execution. They turn plans into high-quality, finished products.

Challenger
Developing in Both

A professional with high potential who is still developing their strategic and technical abilities. Often earlier in their career.

The Job Match Score (0-100)

The Job Match Score provides an at-a-glance view of how well a candidate's resume aligns with a specific job description. This is the first step in identifying high-potential candidates before an assessment is even sent.

How It's Calculated:

  • Skill Alignment: The AI compares the skills listed on the resume against the qualifications required in the job description.
  • Experience Relevance: It analyzes job titles, years of experience, and company history to determine if the candidate's background is a good fit.
  • Keyword Analysis: The system identifies key terms and technologies, highlighting matching and missing keywords between the two documents.
